"Freezin' For A Reason" was originated on December 1st, 2012 as a show with 10 bands on 2 stages in 1 night to support Elizabeth Roy (daughter of Derrick Roy - Feudin' Hillbilly's drummer). Most fundraisers are not held in the winter. However, when asked about being concerned about attendance in the cold, the answer was the people willing to go will be "Freezin' For A Reason". Elizabeth was born extremely premature (24 weeks 0 days). She endured most of her life in the hospital. Consequently, this show was to help offset the expenses for those bills along with a public display of support from those lives touched by Elizabeth. Elizabeth lost that battle roughly a month later. Moving forward, there will be a show every year in her memory, with the proceeds from the event to support a cause, while keeping Elizabeth's memory alive. The 2nd annual "Freezin' For A Reason" is shaping up to be quite the event. It will be held at the Fluid Event Center ( www.fluideventcenter.com ) in Champaign, Illinois. This year's 2013 show is turning into an indoor festival with:
Live Music on 2 stages (Brat Pack, Triple Play, Tons Of Fun, Chris Cavanaugh, Ryan Ideus & Feudin' Hillbillys)
Kiosks of businesses (Lanz Heating & Cooling, Redneck Apparel, Travel By Beth, Birkey's, MX Electric, McKinley Property)
Pictures with Santa Claus (Brandon Carswell Photography)
Hair cuts by Stacy Jones (with options to donate to locks of love)
Putt-putt with a PGA pro courtesy of Willow Pond Golf Course in Rantoul & Friends Fore Life
